Lots of updates this week from Facebook towers, including impending WhatsApp ads and IGTV changes as well as a deep read into the inbuilt sexism within AI which all brands should be aware of.


  • The latest news is that WhatsApp ads will start appearing in 2020
  • IGTV is switching things up by supporting landscape content. This comes in the same week that news hit of Instagram influencers having their data hacked from the platform
  • Google announced that it will start showing ads on the Google mobile app’s homepage later this year
  • Twitch streamers paid up to $50,000 an hour to stream new games as part of branded partnership/influencer activity
